HUNTER

A NEW TRADITION

MORE THAN A SPORT, A TRADITION

The Hunter, is an emblematic discipline that originated in the 18th century England and was created by the tradition of hunting with hounds across fields and ditches. This traditional way of horseback riding is both historical and artistic bringing together multiple generations throughout time. The Hunter discipline demands a rider to show a graceful working position and showcase the elegance of the horse's movements during the course.

Unlike jumpers, which are judged on speed and accuracy, Hunters are judged on the quality of movement of the horse, the quality of jumping and the pace throughout the course. The course is designed with natural obstacles to show homage to its roots. The rider/horse pair is therefore in constant search of elegance and finesse to show their best qualities.

With these goals in mind, nothing is left to chance. When participating in Hunter competitions, horses must be impeccably groomed, equipped with a fitted saddle pad; the tack and saddle must be of deep color. CWD understands these needs and is proud to present the newest Hunter design with traditional, elegant and impeccable features sought after in the Hunter ring.
