CWD Testimonials " I ride with a Mademoiselle 2Gs saddle"

The first time I heard of the CWD Mademoiselle saddle, I must admit I was a bit sceptical. As a former marketing and communication professional, I thought it was a stroke of genius in terms of communication aimed at a riding public that is 80% female. All the same, I was curious about this new product, and I took a close look at the new CWD saddle at the showgrounds and with other riders.

My first experience with the Mademoiselle saddle actually occurred quite quickly. When I bought my mare, Fashion - her name should have set off the alarm bells – I soon realised that I was going to have to change saddles. My previous saddle was perfect for my first horse, Silver, but unfortunately did not suit my new mare at all, being much too long.

So I asked the CWD sales representative in my region to come and bring some saddles to try so I could choose one that would suit both of my horses. I already had the Mademoiselle 2Gs in mind!

During this session, Florent got me to try several models of saddle… but not the Mademoiselle. I could not find anything that suited me and I kept thinking about that saddle. Finally, as if he knew and was just waiting for the right moment, he took out a second-hand 2Gs Mademoiselle that he had just picked up after it had been in the CWD workshops. Looking back, I suspect he had carefully prepared this masterstroke! (laughs, editor’s note)

He placed the Mademoiselle on both my horses. He had to readjust the panels slightly, but it fitted both Fashion and Silver. All I had to do was to get used to riding with this saddle.

 To my great surprise, the 2Gs Mademoiselle is much more than just a saddle and a great communication tool. Firstly, from the aesthetic point of view, the finesse of the design and its style mean that the saddle is a lovely thing to look at and to show off. And the wide range of customised colours adds a touch of fun as well.

As for using it, I felt a real difference in the way my horses performed. They were more receptive and freer in their movements. With my old saddle, I had great contact with my horses, but sometimes the seat wasn’t very comfortable. With the 2Gs Mademoiselle, I had that sensation of close contact again with a very comfortable seat. My position was considerably modified and although this was disturbing at first, I don’t think I could ever be without it now!

In a nutshell, my initial curiosity led me to make an interesting discovery. And this interesting discovery has become the saddle that is now my firm favourite! The added bonus: my customised orange trim, which goes perfectly with my piebald mare and my bay horse.
