Mademoiselle 2GS. Revolution: a female phenomenon.

Making its first appearance in the stables in Spring 2016, the Mademoiselle, with its refined appearance, spread like a trail of pink glitter all over the world in just a few months.

Designed for female riders but acclaimed by men as well, this saddle has well and truly established itself and put the word ‘innovation’ in the spotlight. A look back at a success story.

The first saddle to free-up women's pelvises

The simplest ideas are often the best. It will have escaped no one's notice that women’s pelvises are not the same as men’s, and for good reason: women’s are designed to bear children and bring them into the world. And, as in design, form follows function, nature has done its job well, giving women a wider pelvis which tilts backward. Women need to tilt their pelvis forward to sit upright, mechanically placing their pubic bone in contact with the saddle. If the saddle is not padded at this point, the rider compensates to avoid pain, by arching backwards to try to gain balance. It was this observation that gave rise to the Mademoiselle 2GS saddle. Its flat U-shaped seat and the presence of foam in front of the saddle and at the level of the ischia respond precisely to women’s morphology for unrivalled comfort.

Dynamick® woman concept saddle tree

The backbone of the 2GS saddle, the Dynamick Injected Carbon Kevlar saddle tree, was redesigned when it was created to adapt to the female morphology with a narrower twist. A large part of the saddle’s performance is due to this flexible, light and strong frame. In 2018, the Dynamick® CWD saddle tree range was further improved.  For the Mademoiselle this involves even closer contact, a more aesthetic and streamlined curve with reinforced flaps redesigned to improve their shape and to reduce thickness.

Color power

Launched in six customised colours, the Mademoiselle is instantly attractive with its coloured piping and stirrup leather keeper. Over the years, the saddle has brought a touch of colour to the sport with an ever-expanding choice of colours (now 11). In 2018, the coloured piping was replaced with more discreet stitching. The saddle is now coordinated with the boots and bridle giving a coherent appearance flattering to horses and their riders around the world.
